A SWIS 2016 Dr. David Leaf Performance Based Muscle Testing Pre Conference Video

Performance Based Muscle Testing

This seminar covers the spine and lower extremity. Dr. Leaf brings experience treating athletes for over 35 years including power-lifters, MLB, NHL, NFL world soccer and Olympic champions. In class, Dr. Leaf reviews and workshops appropriate muscle testing including the biomechanics of movements for common actions of the joints involved. For example, we will cover the muscle firing sequence for actions like lifting in the spine, sports activities like tennis and golf, and how we jump. For all conditions, we will discuss appropriate treatment and rehab protocols and activities the patient can do to speed progress.

The concept of muscle trains will be expanded to show how there are many “muscle trains” that are more related to how we move in different activities and sports. This is where we will examine how we get up from sitting, skating, the tennis strokes and the golf swing.

Dr. Leaf is a chiropractor and has been in practice for over 30 years. He was the past president of the International College Applied Kinesiology and has lectured in United States, Canada, Europe, Australia on the application of muscle testing for different disorders. He has treated Olympic athletes, world champions and professional players in the NFL, NBA and NHL and was on the medical staff of A.C. Milan of the Italian soccer league. He is one of the best integrated practitioners and muscle testers in the country utilizing a highly innovative treatment combination consisting of structural and chemical protocols to fix complicated disorders.
